🏇 Exciting news for horse lovers in Cardiff! Plans are underway to build a new indoor horse-riding facility at Wenallt Farm in Rhiwbina. This development is set to ensure the sustainability of a well-loved livery business that’s been running for over 40 years! 🌟
The proposed indoor arena will take a simple rectangular form, blending naturally with the agricultural landscape. This is fantastic news for the 25 stabled horses and their owners, as the current outdoor exercise area just isn’t cutting it anymore, especially under the pylons where it can’t be covered. 🐴
The new space is crucial for allowing more riding and training opportunities, which are currently limited, especially during the colder months. Plus, it will support local horse owners, including many children, offering lessons from a British Horse Society-accredited coach. 🌳
To keep the picturesque feel of the countryside, plans include planting native trees and woodland scrub around the structure to help it blend seamlessly into the landscape. This will not only provide a beautiful backdrop but also benefit the local environment. 🌱
This indoor riding area isn’t a new business venture, but rather a necessary update to meet existing demand and continue supporting the community’s recreational and social needs with added economic benefits. Exciting times ahead for Wenallt Farm! 🌿
Stay tuned for updates as this development progresses! 🚜
