Drama on the Roland Garros court! 🎾 French Open wildcard Arthur Gea had to make a hasty exit mid-match after an emergency arose. Facing Karen Khachanov, the 21-year-old found himself in quite the predicament during his first-round clash. While trailing 1-4, Gea reached out to the umpire and confessed—in no uncertain terms—his urgent need for a toilet break: “I can’t, I can’t… I’m going to s*** on the court!”

With the umpire’s understanding nod, Gea dashed off the court to address his stomach woes, returning shortly after. Despite his valiant efforts, he couldn’t clinch a win, losing 6-3, 7-6(3), 6-0. Nonetheless, Arthur Gea’s tenacity was on display, even amid unexpected distractions.

This isn’t Gea’s first Grand Slam rodeo—he impressed at the Australian Open, surprising 17th seed Jiri Lehecka before falling to former champ Stan Wawrinka in a gripping five-setter. His Roland Garros journey might have ended early, but we’re sure this won’t be the last we see of him on the big stage!
Elsewhere on the red clay, Canadian Gabriel Diallo also had a tough day. The world No. 49 had to retire mid-match due to health issues against James Duckworth. Tennis, always full of surprises! 🤯
