π¨ Late-night drama unfolded on Heol Aneurin, Penyrheol, Caerphilly, when a police chase led to a black BMW crashing into two parked cars.ππ₯

The heart-stopping moment was captured on CCTV as the BMW, having ignored police instructions to halt, collided with a black Ford Fiesta and a white Suzuki Swift Sport just after midnight. The young couple, both 19, who own the vehicles, are now left grappling with the aftermath.

“We were sound asleep when our neighbour’s call jolted us awake,” said the female owner. “Rushing outside, we were greeted by the sight of our wrecked cars and the police already at the scene. My boyfriend’s car is totalled, and mine’s too damaged to drive. It’s a nightmare.”
The couple, juggling student life and minimum wage jobs, now face the financial strain of increased insurance and potential transport costs. “It’s just not fair. One moment we were peacefully in bed, and the next, we’re dealing with this mess,” she added with frustration.
A Gwent Police spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that officers, with support from the National Police Air Service and a dog unit, searched the area, but no one associated with the BMW was found. The car was recovered without any injuries reported.
Investigations continue, and anyone with information is urged to reach out. Meanwhile, the owners of the damaged cars are left to pick up the pieces, questioning why they should bear the brunt of someone else’s reckless actions.ππ
