🚨 Jesy Nelson Appeals for Help After Car Theft 🚨
Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson is reaching out to the public for help after her car was stolen, along with vital hospital equipment for her twin daughters. The twins, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, have been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare condition that leads to muscle wastage.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Jesy shared, “My car got stolen off my driveway in the early hours of this morning. If anyone sees a black Defender, reg plate JJ73SSY, please DM me or contact the police.” The theft occurred in Brentwood, Essex, and the family desperately needs the medical equipment inside to care for the twins.
Jesy has been a vocal advocate for newborn SMA screenings in the UK, following her daughters’ diagnosis. Her efforts have led to the roll-out of these screenings in October 2026, earlier than planned. Her petition to include SMA in the newborn blood spot screening test has garnered over 100,000 signatures.
In January, Jesy met with Health Secretary Wes Streeting to discuss the importance of early detection and became a patron of charity SMA UK in February. Her activism highlights the life-changing impact early diagnosis and treatment can have for families affected by SMA.
