🚨 Rugby Shock! 🚨 Former British and Irish Lions star Anthony Watson has dropped a bombshell in a new BBC documentary. 🏉

In “Ben Youngs Investigates: How Safe Is Rugby?”, Watson admits he cheated a head injury assessment during the 2017 Lions tour in New Zealand. 😲 After a crushing high tackle from Sonny Bill Williams, Watson revealed he memorised test words in advance to get back in the game faster. 🧠➡️🏃♂️

“Feeling a bit hazy after the hit, I knew what words they’d ask – ‘elbow-apple-carpet-saddle-bubble’. I prepped for it and breezed through,” said the 32-year-old ex-England winger. Despite the incident, he played the rest of the match and the final decider at Eden Park.

Thankfully, the head injury assessments have been updated since then, making this kind of tactic a thing of the past.
What are your thoughts on this reveal? Should more be done to ensure player safety in rugby? 🤔🏉💬
