🚧 Big News for Cowbridge! 🚧

There’s a new buzz around town as plans have been submitted to build over 100 homes on the outskirts of Cowbridge. The proposed development area, known as Bryn Melin, is no stranger to controversy as the Thaw Valley Group and the Cowbridge with Llanblethian Town Council have voiced strong opposition in the past. Concerns include a lack of sustainable transport, limited access, and the site’s challenging terrain.

Redrow Homes (South Wales) Limited aims to build 105 new houses between Windmill Lane and St Athan Road. They promise a mix of homes, from one-bedroom flats to four-bedroom family homes, some marked as affordable housing.
The developers highlight that their designs will blend in with the local character, offering a mix of traditional architecture with modern sensibility. Plans include two-storey homes with single-storey garages to minimise the visual impact and respect the nearby buildings’ character.
Their vision is of a vibrant community hub, prioritising pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport users, with ample green spaces and biodiversity enhancements. Plus, there’s a commitment to high-quality, sustainable living, integrating eco-friendly features and ensuring safety for all.
