Hey Beano fans! 🎉 Get ready to unleash some nostalgia with a brand-new Dennis the Menace 50p coin! Celebrating 75 years of relentless mischief, this coin features Dennis in his iconic red-and-black stripes alongside his trusty sidekick, Gnasher. 🐶
The Royal Mint, working with Beano, has given our favourite prankster a permanent spot on a shiny 50p piece. For some extra fizz, select versions boast colourful printing, bringing Dennis and his antics to life like never before!
Born from the pages of the beloved comic back on March 17, 1951, Dennis has wreaked havoc and brought laughs across generations. From the talented team at DC Thomson, the Beano has been nurturing young imaginations for 87 splendid years, with classics like Minnie the Minx and The Bash Street Kids keeping us on our toes.
Rebecca Morgan at The Royal Mint says it best: “Dennis finally making his mark on a 50p feels like his greatest prank yet!” And we agree—his cheeky grin and rebellious charm are perfectly captured.
Want to get in on the fun? These collectible coins are available from 9am this Thursday on The Royal Mint’s website.
