Prosecutors revealed that ap Gwyn had been a repeat offender, ignoring signs and even trespassing while trains were in motion. Between July 2024 and August 2025, police caught him in the act 68 times thanks to CCTV! 😮

It all boiled over on August 21, 2025, when police tried to speak to ap Gwyn. Things took a wild turn as he drove off, climbed a tree, and threatened self-harm. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but he was taken in for a mental health check-up.

Already having a record for damaging Network Rail property, ap Gwyn admitted to endangering railway safety and assaulting a constable. His defence shared that running a 500-acre farm alone with 600 sheep took its toll after losing his father.

The judge recognised his hard work but couldn’t ignore the danger he caused to railway users. The result? An eight-month prison sentence, suspended for a year, plus £1,817 in fees.

Remember, railway safety is no joke! Let’s hope ap Gwyn sorts things out and stays off the tracks. 🚉💼
