🏃♂️🏃♀️ Cardiff Half Marathon is back and bigger than ever! This Sunday, over 27,000 runners are hitting the streets of Wales’ capital for the record-breaking 22nd edition of the race. Known as the country’s largest mass participation event and one of Europe’s top half marathons, this race is a highlight on Cardiff’s calendar. 🎉
As runners sprint past iconic city landmarks, the atmosphere is set to be electric with spectators cheering from the sidelines. While some roads have been closed since Wednesday, others will reopen before midnight on Monday, so plan your travel routes with that in mind!🚦
The weather is promising to be much friendlier on race day as Storm Amy moves away. Although Saturday’s junior races got cancelled due to safety concerns amid the storm, Sunday’s conditions look perfect for the main event. ⛅
This year’s marathon slots sold out at breakneck speed, filling up in just 12 hours! Due to such overwhelming demand, organisers are now introducing a ballot system for next year’s entries to give everyone a fair chance. 🏅
Join in the excitement, whether you’re running, cheering, or just soaking in the festive vibes around the city. 🙌 Don’t miss this chance to be part of Cardiff’s incredible community spirit and see why this marathon is not to be missed! 🎶
