Dr Stephen Lodge, once the face behind two bustling dental practices in Wales, has been suspended. But here’s the twist: the dental regulator isn’t spilling the beans on why! 🕵️‍♂️🇨🇾

Traffic Updates
The buzz is that this all started with an incident last year while Dr Lodge was on holiday in Cyprus. Now, the General Dental Council has put the brakes on his practice, meaning Dr Lodge can’t pick up his tools again until at least January.

Traffic Updates
After his suspension last July, Dr Lodge stepped down as director in October, ending his 17-year leadership of Lodge Dental in New Inn and Abergavenny. The new face of the practice? Dr Cameron Currie, who’s now steering the ship, with Dr Lodge’s brother Christopher joining in a director role – though he’s not a dentist himself. 🤔

Interestingly, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales has been hot on the heels of Lodge Dental due to concerns about clinical oversight and governance. They’ve been working to ensure everything is up to snuff.

For those of you following the story, Lodge Dental, which offers memberships from £14 to £42 a month, hasn’t answered any of our burning questions just yet.

🎓 Dr Lodge has been in the dental scene since 1991 after graduating from the University of Bristol. What’s next for him post-suspension is still up in the air.
