Tragic news from Eryri as the search for two missing young men, aged 19 and 20, has ended in heartbreak. Their bodies were sadly discovered by dedicated search teams in the rugged terrain of the mountain range. The huge operation involved incredible teamwork and determination from the Llanberis Mountain Rescue, Aberglaslyn Rescue, RAF, SARDA, and HM Coastguard, who battled harsh winter conditions to bring them home.

The young men’s families have been informed and all are asked to respect their privacy during this unimaginable time. Heartfelt condolences have poured in, with Jurgen Dissmann, Chair of Llanberis Mountain Rescue, expressing deep sadness for the outcome, while praising the tireless efforts of volunteers and colleagues who worked round the clock.
