They argue that these organisations are putting women and girls at risk by allowing male-born athletes to compete in their events, calling it a “true scandal.” 😲
A Supreme Court ruling last year clarified that the exclusion of athletes could be based on biological sex. Yet, the campaigners believe not enough is being done to protect fairness in women’s sports. “Failing to protect women’s sport from males who claim to be female eradicates fairness in competition and presents extreme safeguarding concerns,” says Davies. 🚺
