🚨 **Back in the Slammer!** 🚨
In a twist that’s almost too wild to believe, 70-year-old Thomas Hughes has found himself back behind bars after pulling off the exact same crime that got him jailed the first time! This pensioner from Porthcawl is really living life on repeat. 😲
Hughes had previously spent seven years in prison after being caught with a staggering £80,000 worth of cocaine and loads of cash. But it seems he didn’t learn his lesson because officers from South Wales Police nabbed him again on September 28th. The haul this time? Nearly £30,000 in cash and cocaine valued up to £15,000!
During the raid at his home, officers uncovered a variety of items pointing to drug distribution:
– £2,660 in cash
– Two mobile phones
– Scales and deal bags
– A hefty 472g of cocaine
All in, they found £29,203 in Hughes’ possession! Seems like Hughes just couldn’t resist a return to old habits.
On November 7th, he stood before Cardiff Crown Court, opting for a guilty plea on charges of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possession of criminal property. The result? A six-year prison sentence. Some people never learn, eh? 🤷♂️
