šØ Rugby fans, exciting news! šØ
Could we be seeing Angus O’Brien donning the Wales jersey soon? š The uncapped full-back has been making waves with the Dragons, scoring a whopping 31 points over the past two weekends and propelling them into the Challenge Cup semi-finals. š®
Earlier this year, O’Brien had a promising chat with Wales’ coaches during the Six Nations, and his stellar performance since has only strengthened his case for a national call-up. Speaking about his ambitions, O’Brien has been quite humble: “Everybody wants to play for Wales, and Iām no different. I just focus on doing my best for the Dragons.” šÆ
With the Welsh team looking for some steady hands in the backfield, O’Brien’s playmaking skills and powerful boot might just be the game-changer they need. Meanwhile, Rees-Zammit, although impressive, is still mastering the full-back role.
At 31, O’Brien seems more determined than ever, saying he “still feels 25” and is proud of what the Dragons have accomplished this season. Could this be his moment to shine on the international stage? š With summer Tests against Fiji, Argentina, and South Africa on the horizon, we’ll have to wait and see.
Rugby enthusiasts, do you think O’Brien deserves a shot with Wales? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! š
