Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan isn’t just about sharp shots; he’s making headlines at the World Seniors Championship too! After a tense match securing his place in another Crucible final, the Rocket wasn’t shy to speak up about the not-so-perfect conditions players are facing.

In a 7-5 victory against Robert Milkins, O’Sullivan showcased moments of brilliance, much to the delight of the packed crowd, despite the tricky tables that had organisers scrambling. One match even got moved to a practice table due to a dropped floor slate. Talk about pressure!

O’Sullivan admitted, “The conditions are tough. We’re not making excuses, but keeping the potting steady under such pressure is challenging.” He also teased fans with his experimentation in cue actions: “It’s a good experience, and I’m enjoying the process.”
Emergency measures had Matthew Stevens and Dominic Dale’s game on hold until they found another table, while Alfie Burden had to face Igor Figueiredo away from the main crowd. And what a shocker—Figueiredo dominated with a clean 4-0 win.
Jason Francis, head honcho of World Seniors Snooker, publicly apologised for the hiccups. With tricky floors beneath the Crucible, setting up the tables in such limited time was a mammoth task, he said, acknowledging the disappointment caused.
Post-match, O’Sullivan’s cheeky side shone through when interviewer Rob Walker praised his shots. In typical Ronnie style, he humorously downplayed the applause, leaving fans chuckling.
As O’Sullivan gears up for the final clash against either Craig Steadman or Joe Perry, Sunday’s game promises to be unmissable. Catch all the live action on Channel 5 at 12.30pm. Will the Rocket blast off again amidst the challenges?
Stay tuned for snooker drama, Rocket-style! 🎱✨
