π Rugby legend Lewis Moody shares his journey as he bravely battles motor neurone disease (MND). Diagnosed last September, Lewis recently opened up about how the condition affects him day-to-day. Despite facing this formidable challenge, the former England captain remains determined and is focusing on raising awareness for those with MND.

π§ MND, a life-limiting disease, affects motor nerves in the spinal cord and brain, impacting walking, talking, and more. While there’s no cure, treatments can help slow its progression. Lewis noticed symptoms during gym sessions, particularly weakness in his shoulder. Now, he manages his energy and keeps an optimistic outlook, saying his finger strength is slightly diminished but his condition is progressing slowly.
π Lewis draws strength from adversity and is dedicated to making a difference in the MND community. He states, “So many people do amazing things in the MND space all the time but donβt get attention. I have the opportunity to help, and I want to impact that space with real purpose for all of us living with MND.”

Letβs support Lewis and everyone affected by MND in their fight. πͺπ
