🏉 Exciting times for England Rugby! Coach Steve Borthwick has announced the training squad for this summer’s inaugural Nations Championship, and there’s plenty of fresh talent to watch out for! 🚀
Headlining the squad is South Africa-born Benhard Janse van Rensburg. The Bristol Bears centre is set to qualify for England in July, just in time for the big kick-off, thanks to a successful lobbying effort that moved his eligibility date forward.
Not just him, we’ve got some promising new faces making their debut. Charlie Bracken, the son of the legendary Kyran Bracken, gets his first call-up, bringing the legacy of the 2003 Rugby World Cup winner full circle. Archie McParland and teenage sensation Noah Caluori, who’s been on fire with 18 tries this season, also make the list. 🔥
Welcome back, George Martin! After 14 months away due to injury, the Leicester Tigers lock returns to the international scene, ready to make an impact. 💪
Captain Maro Itoje is included in the squad amid discussions around his well-being, considering his non-stop performance over the last two seasons. 🏋️♂️
While some familiar faces won’t be joining us this time, it’s all about form and focus on showcasing the best talent. England’s squad is pumped and ready to train at Pennyhill Park. Get ready for a summer of thrilling rugby action! 🌟
