Get ready for a cheeky showdown! 🎤⚽️ Wrexham owner and everyone’s favourite Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds, is facing off with chart-topping pop star Ed Sheeran as their teams clash in the Championship. Wrexham is heading to Ipswich Town, the club that Sheeran, the “Shape of You” singer, passionately supports as he owns a minority share.
Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham are hoping to climb the ranks, currently sitting 13th, just four points away from the play-offs after an incredible run with back-to-back promotions. Ipswich, aiming for a Premier League comeback, are 7th, and it seems Sheeran isn’t pulling any punches. At the Time100 Gala, he cheekily told Reynolds: “We’ll f*** you up,” ahead of their match. Ever the showman, Reynolds responded with a playful wave, proving he’s not fazed by friendly rivalry.
Both clubs have had their ups and downs this season, but with Wrexham’s ambitious Premier League dream and Ipswich’s strong standing, the stage is set for an exciting match. Wrexham earlier splashed ÂŁ33 million on fresh talent, and with transfer windows looming, fans are buzzing with anticipation.
With football analyst Don Goodman suggesting this might be Wrexham’s golden opportunity, could a Premier League ascent really be on the cards? One thing’s for sure, this friendly banter between Reynolds and Sheeran adds a whole lot of entertainment both on and off the pitch! 🏟️✨ Get ready for some epic football action and a dose of Hollywood-meets-pop star rivalry! ⚽️🎸
