Exciting news for families in Neath Port Talbot! 🚀 A whopping £2.5 million is set to transform 16 local playgrounds, making them safer and more fun than ever. This massive refurbishment comes after a recent survey highlighted concerns over the condition of playgrounds in the area. With some spots in need of urgent attention, this investment is crucial to keeping these beloved spaces open for our kids.
Cllr Scott Jones shares, “Our goal is to create modern, purpose-built playgrounds that serve the community’s needs and enhance children’s physical and social development.” From Victoria Park to Baglan Park, these playgrounds are about to get a fantastic facelift!
The council is using this opportunity to secure funds from a previous underspend and is planning to establish a solid maintenance routine going forward. This is a significant step in addressing years of under-investment. Our playgrounds are vital for promoting wellness and providing a space where kids can thrive. 🌈
Let’s look forward to seeing brighter, better playgrounds that will soon be buzzing with laughter and joy! Keep an eye out for updates on the transformation journey. 🌟
