Sara Cox, beloved BBC Radio 2 presenter, has shared an unexpected and rather “depressing” update about her marriage to Ben Cyzer. Despite their long history of love, marriage, and family—raising two children together and Sara’s daughter from a previous relationship—the couple faces a nightly dilemma. Sara recently revealed on The Teen Commandments podcast that Ben’s snoring often forces her to seek the refuge of a separate bedroom. She humorously compared the annoyance to having heightened senses like an animal on alert. Sara lightheartedly reminisced about her younger days when waking in the night didn’t carry the immediate fear of losing sleep that she feels now at 50.

In other news, Sara has just completed an incredible feat by running five marathons in five days for BBC Children in Need. She trekked an astounding 135 miles from Kielder Forest to Pudsey, raising over £10 million for the charity. Sara described the experience as the hardest thing she’s ever done but was buoyed by support from the public, including cheering kids, supportive farmers, and honking truck drivers along her rainy and cold journey. The challenge will be featured in ‘Sara Cox: Every Step of the Way for Children in Need’, airing on BBC One.

In Sara’s words, the encouragement from countless strangers was just incredible and truly kept her motivated through extreme weather and exhaustion. Way to go, Sara—your energy and commitment inspire us all!
