Exciting updates from the Scarlets! 🌟 The beloved Welsh rugby team is optimistic about their future, believing they’ve made a solid case to remain a crucial part of the new three-club structure. During a spirited meeting with supporters at Parc y Scarlets, the management team shared their confidence about the ongoing discussions with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU).

Faced with the prospect of Welsh rugby reducing professional clubs from four to three, Scarlets’ executive chairman, Simon Muderack, candidly shared the challenges and highlighted their impressive legacy and contributions to Welsh rugby. “We’re fighting hard to ensure Scarlets remains at the heart of Welsh rugby,” said Muderack.
Scarlets fans are standing strong, showing incredible support. The club was overwhelmed with heartfelt entries, totalling over 50,000 words from fans, showing just how much the team means to the community. 💪❤️

Scarlets’ managing director, Jon Daniels, assured fans that the club’s history and identity remain paramount. They are committed to a future that respects the rich heritage that has been the bedrock of their success for 150 years. The club is open to aligning more closely with the WRU while ensuring the team’s autonomy and connection to their community are preserved.

Negotiations are heating up, with hopes to finalise plans before Christmas and avoid a lengthy tender process. The future looks brighter as proposals become more favourable, particularly around financial burdens.
For the love of the Scarlets and Welsh rugby, this journey isn’t just about survival but thriving in a new era. Let’s rally behind our team and show them the passionate support they inspire in us all. 🏉🔴
