🏉 Exciting times in Welsh rugby! The Scarlets have just announced they’re gearing up to sign the PRA25 agreement with the Welsh Rugby Union. This move comes as the takeover of Cardiff by Y11 Sports & Media hit a snag. The WRU is keen to bring the Scarlets and Ospreys on board to ensure stability and growth for the clubs. The Scarlets are optimistic, especially after securing significant new investment which shows confidence in the team’s future!
Meanwhile, Wales’ own Rhys Carre has wowed fans with his phenomenal solo try against Ireland, earning him the prestigious 2026 Six Nations’ Try of the Championship. Not often do you see a prop storm through defences like that! Carre’s dazzling 30-metre run was the talk of the tournament, and he clinched 43% of the fan vote. What an incredible display of skill and determination.
Sadly, the rugby community is also paying tribute to Allan Mitchell Hosie, former referee and Six Nations boss, who passed away at 80. Hosie, remembered for his remarkable contributions to the game, including helping bring Italy into the Six Nations, leaves a lasting legacy in the sport. Tributes poured in, celebrating his humour, dedication, and the vital role he played in Scottish and international rugby.
Stay tuned for more updates and let’s keep cheering for Welsh rugby! 🏉🎉
