🎙️ Scott Mills Breaks Silence After Radio 2 Exit 🎙️
Scott Mills, the beloved former Radio 2 breakfast show host, has spoken out for the first time since the BBC confirmed his departure. Mills claims the announcement has stirred ‘rumour and speculation’ around the circumstances of his exit.
In a statement released through his solicitors, Mills, 53, clarified that he fully cooperated with a police investigation concerning a historic allegation dating back nearly three decades. He explained that in 2018, after careful review, the Crown Prosecution Service found the evidence insufficient to proceed with charges. Mills expressed hope for privacy concerning the resolved issue and thanked fans and colleagues for their unwavering support.
The BBC removed Mills from the airwaves last week, confirming his sacking on Monday due to allegations concerning his ‘personal conduct’. The broadcaster stated that it acted swiftly upon receiving new information, despite being aware of previous investigations.
Let’s send some love to Scott Mills during this challenging time. 📻💔
