🚨 Meet the Everyday Heroes of Wales! 🚨

Next time you spot a motorbike with ‘Blood’ on it, give a nod to the incredible volunteers at Blood Bikes Wales. Thanks to these selfless legends, vital supplies like blood samples, donated milk, and urgent documents zoom across Wales every day — and they don’t ask for a penny in return!

With 22 bikes and around 550 volunteers, they covered a staggering 400,000 miles in the past year alone. That’s nearly a round trip to the moon! 🌕 They’re an essential lifeline for the NHS, working with six Welsh health boards and even crossing into England when needed.
Lesley Isaacs-Penny, our amazing vice-chair, orchestrates a seamless operation ensuring every call is answered and every package is delivered on time. Whether it’s transporting life-saving blood samples or delivering medications to patients at home, every shift is a new adventure.
Neil Prescott, our chairman, found his calling with Blood Bikes post-retirement. He combines his love for biking with a mission to make a difference. “Whenever you meet someone you’ve helped, it’s truly rewarding,” he says.
Riders like Nigel Dunn love the flexibility and the chance to explore while making an impact. The team is eager to welcome more women riders too, championing diversity and understanding on the road.
Want to be a part of this amazing journey? You don’t need to be a biker to contribute. Every helping hand is valued in this volunteer community dedicated to saving lives. Let’s celebrate these everyday heroes who are powered by passion and put safety first. 💪🏍️💕
