During inspections, council officers found goats crammed into a pitch-black shipping container, the floor soaked with urine and faeces, while pigs were left in muddy enclosures with no clean water. Sadly, several of the rescued pigs died shortly after being removed due to the conditions they were kept in. 🤯

Erasmus, who once stood as a candidate for Gwlad party, was also discovered setting a trap for council officers at his property. Despite the heart-wrenching state the animals were found in, the defence argued Erasmus never intended to harm them, blaming his poor judgment on mental health struggles and personal issues.

The court has handed him an 18-month community order with mental health treatment along with banning him from owning any animals aside from his current dog and his mother’s pets. 🐶

This case is a stark reminder of the crucial importance of animal welfare and responsible care. Share your thoughts about how we can prevent such disturbing incidents from happening again in our community. 💔 #AnimalWelfare #JusticeForAnimals
