Disturbing incident at Manchester Airport! Abusive boyfriend Callum Coady was arrested after shocking CCTV footage showed him throwing a drink in his partner’s face and threatening her life before boarding a flight. For over a year, Coady exerted control over Daisy Martin, dictating who she could talk to, what she could wear, and even cutting her off from loved ones.

Police boarded the plane and arrested Coady, caught on camera exclaiming, “Oh my goodness” and complaining, “I’m missing my flight now!” The footage highlights a turbulent relationship marked by coercive control.
Coady pleaded guilty to the charges, receiving a 16-week suspended sentence along with a five-year restraining order and ordered to work with probation services. Daisy was praised for her bravery in bringing the abuse to light, helping secure the sentence with evidence collected from over a thousand controlling messages sent by Coady.

Detective Constable Elizabeth Andrews lauded Daisy’s courage, emphasising that coercive control is a crime that won’t be tolerated. Victims of similar abuse are urged to speak out and seek help.
Daisy shared her emotional journey, highlighting the profound impact the manipulation had on her life. “He made me forget what love should feel like, and I struggle to believe anyone could genuinely want something healthy with me,” she said, expressing gratitude to the police, especially Detective Andrews, for their unwavering support.
Let’s hope Daisy’s bravery inspires others to come forward and seek justice. Remember, you’re not alone and help is always available. If you or someone you know is a victim of abuse in any form, please report it. Let’s stand together and support those in need! 💪❤️
