**Shocking Attack in Port Talbot: Teen Robber Found 100 Miles Away!**

In a dramatic and disturbing case, 18-year-old Kurtis James was sentenced for a brutal robbery in Port Talbot that left a 17-year-old victim with a shoeprint indelibly marked on his head. The vicious assault took place last November and saw James kicking and stamping on the youth while demanding his bank card PIN.
Imagine this: you’re on your way home, crossing a bridge, when suddenly you’re attacked by a group of males. That’s what happened to the young victim, who was knocked to the ground and savagely beaten, leaving him not just with physical scars but an immense emotional toll. The shoeprint on his head bore testament to the violence of the attack, which the victim feared would never stop.

Miraculously, the victim managed to escape and seek help. The very next day, police tracked down James, who had made his way to Reading, a whole 100 miles from the scene of the crime. Arrested and taken back to South Wales, James faced justice in Swansea Crown Court.
The court heard the harrowing details of the attack and was told of James’ troubled past, including being homeless after being ejected from the care system on his 18th birthday. Yet, Judge Geraint Walters made it clear that nothing justified the “merciless beating” inflicted on the young victim, labelling the incident as “truly disturbing.”
James was sentenced to 38 months in a young offenders institution, a decision that includes a discount for his guilty plea. This case serves as a stark reminder that violence leaves deep wounds and carries long-lasting consequences.
