🌧️⚠️ Heads up, South Wales! An amber weather warning is in effect today, and it’s a big one. The Met Office is warning of heavy and persistent rainfall with potential flooding risks from the early hours until 9 pm tonight.

Residents in areas including Cardiff, Swansea, and Newport, among others, should prepare for disruptions. With up to 100mm of rain expected, flooded roads, power outages, and travel disruptions are on the cards. Some areas might even find themselves cut off by fast-flowing floodwaters.
🚨 Remember the mantra: “If it’s flooded, forget it.” It’s not safe to drive, walk, or swim through floodwaters. Your safety is paramount, so avoid unnecessary travel and keep an eye on the latest updates. If you must travel, proceed with caution and stay alert to changing conditions.

Prepare a flood kit with essentials like important documents, a torch, a first aid kit, necessary meds, and some warm clothes. It could make a big difference if flooding impacts your home or business.
Let’s all do our bit to stay safe and prepared during this stormy spell. Stay dry and look out for neighbours who might need a hand. 🌧️ Stay safe, everyone!
