What a gym drama! 😱 Sophie Jones, who boasts nearly 600k followers on TikTok, faced quite the conundrum during her workout. While on the treadmill, her key got wedged between the running belt and plastic casing. As she fiddled to retrieve it, it slipped away entirely into the machine. “I can’t believe it’s gone,” she exclaimed in her video.
In a quest for help, Sophie pushed the gym’s emergency button. Lights flashed, sirens blared, yet nobody came to the rescue. A sign nearby informed her that the on-site PT was busy with a class, causing her further frustration.
Despite the failed button, Sophie managed to call the help number posted and was told assistance was on the way. Meanwhile, she dashed to her estate agent to grab a spare key. After 20 minutes, help finally arrived. A man, whom Sophie likened to a superhero, managed to lift the treadmill and rescue her keys. “It was like something out of a movie,” she noted.
Gym Group acknowledged the malfunction and confirmed the call button issue has been resolved. Luckily, Sophie’s day was saved!
