📢 Fuel Price Update! ⛽️

Great news for drivers across the UK! This week, we’re seeing some much-needed relief at the pumps. Unleaded petrol now costs an average of 151.98p per litre, and diesel has dropped to 168.64p. 🚗💨

However, the RAC is urging retailers to slash prices even further, insisting that we’re still paying more than we should be. Despite wholesale prices plummeting, the forecourt rates aren’t coming down as fast as they could. 🏦📉
Simon Williams from the RAC highlights, “With oil and wholesale prices decreasing, drivers should be seeing petrol below 150p and diesel under 160p very soon.”
Recent price cuts mean filling up a typical 55-litre car currently costs £83.59 for petrol and £92.75 for diesel—still significantly higher than pre-Iran conflict prices. 💷😅
Oil prices have plunged with Brent crude trading around $73 a barrel, a stark contrast to earlier highs during geopolitical tensions. Yet, the RAC claims retailers aren’t passing these savings onto us quickly enough, as prices tend to fall slower than they rise. 📈⏳
The UK’s competition watchdog is keeping a watchful eye, aiming to prevent any “rocket and feather” pricing—where prices soar quickly but drop at a snail’s pace. 🧐
Keep an eye out, and let’s hope for better deals at the pumps soon! 👀⏳
