Heartbreaking news, folks. The beloved Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria actor Eric Dane has sadly passed away at 53, following a valiant battle with ALS, a form of Motor Neurone Disease. Less than a year ago, Eric courageously shared his diagnosis, becoming a passionate advocate for awareness and research.

Surrounded by loved ones, Eric spent his final moments with his close friends, devoted wife, and two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were truly the centre of his universe. Known for his unforgettable role as Dr Mark “McSteamy” Sloan in Grey’s Anatomy, Eric also captivated audiences with his complex character in Euphoria and many other roles.

His career journey was as inspiring as his personal mission to support ALS causes. From starring in The Last Ship to guest appearances in Brilliant Minds, he consistently touched our hearts with his performances.
For those unaware, the early symptoms of ALS or MND can be quite subtle. Keep an eye out for muscle weakness or stiffness, especially in the hands or legs, twitching, speech difficulties, unexplained weight loss, or trouble with mobility like dragging a leg. The NHS advises seeking a GP’s opinion if these symptoms persist.
As Eric leaves behind a legacy of love and advocacy, let’s cherish his memory and spread awareness about this condition. Our thoughts are with his family and fans during this difficult time. ❤️
