🏉 **Welsh Rugby Wrap-up: Who’s Up and Who’s Down?**
This weekend was a thrilling showcase for Welsh players in the Gallagher Premiership, with stellar performances across the board making waves! 🌊
**Winners:**
🔹 **Bryn Bradley** – At just 23, Bradley shone brightly as Harlequins toppled Northampton Saints 38-31. His hard-hitting runs and solid defence are definitely catching the eye of national coach Steve Tandy. Could this power runner make waves for Wales in their Nations Championship clash against Fiji? 💪
🔹 **Christ Tshiunza & Dafydd Jenkins** – Both played pivotal roles in Exeter Chiefs’ convincing 32-12 win over Saracens, securing a semi-final spot. Jenkins was rock-solid, topping tackle counts, while Tshiunza, bouncing back from injury, showed he’s still got it. Fingers crossed his move to Sale Sharks ushers a bright future. 🌟
🔹 **Max Llewellyn & Freddie Thomas** – Gloucester’s 54-21 thrashing of Newcastle had Llewellyn carving up defences, showing he’s ready to rejoin the Wales squad after injury setbacks. Alongside, Thomas was a powerhouse in the loose and lineout. 👏
🔹 **Johnny McNicholl** – The former Wales star turned back the clock with a hat-trick for the Crusaders in Super Rugby. Still a class act at 35, even if a Wales return seems unlikely.
**Losers:**
🔻 **Tomas Francis** – A tough day for Francis in Provence’s French PRO D2 final loss to RC Vannes. All eyes now on their crucial “Access Match” against Perpignan, as Francis bids farewell to Provence before joining Sale Sharks. 🏉
🔻 **Rhys Carré & Nick Tompkins** – Saracens’ 32-12 loss to Exeter means no play-offs, with Carré battling a dominant Chiefs pack. A day to forget but onwards and upwards for both players.
🔻 **Nicky Smith, Tommy Reffell & Gabriel Hamer-Webb** – It was a nail-biting 24-22 loss for Leicester Tigers against Bath. Despite their efforts, they’ll now face top-seed Northampton Saints in a challenging semi-final match. 🏆
As the drama unfolds, we wait to see how these performances influence Tandy’s strategy for the upcoming fixtures. Keep your eyes peeled! 🔥 #WelshRugby #GallagherPremiership #RugbyUnion
