Heartbreak in Cardiff as beloved cat Buddy, who’s been a lifeline for his family, is left seriously injured after a hit-and-run incident. Found on Ty Mawr Road, where speeders often double the limit, Buddy’s injuries are heart-wrenching: a broken jaw, chest damage, and partial blindness among others. Owners Harvey and Glenda can’t forget how Buddy alerted them to Glenda’s cancer by persistently laying on her chest. In their rush to save him, they faced emergency vet bills nearing £300 and expect total costs to hit £5,000. Harvey’s plea? “It could have been a child. Please help, even if it’s just a pound.” A GoFundMe has been set up for Buddy’s ongoing care. Concerns are rising about road safety in the area, with residents calling for speed bumps to protect both pets and children. If you want to lend a hand, search for Buddy’s GoFundMe and help bring peace back to this loving family.
