What a match! Cardiff City battled it out for a 1-1 draw against Leyton Orient. The Bluebirds seemed a bit shaky at first, as Nathan Trott’s mishap allowed the hosts to take an early lead. But Yousef Salech came to the rescue with a stunning equaliser before the half-time whistle blew. His strike was a piece of art, powering through defenders and finishing in style!
Despite dominating the second half, Cardiff just couldn’t find that winning goal. They did face some drama on and off the pitch, though. It was a week of significant changes, with the departure of four players from Cardiff City Stadium. Luey Giles, Will Spiers, and Dakarai Mafico went out on loan, while Jak Alnwick moved to Huddersfield Town permanently.
Adding to the challenges, Cardiff were hit with another transfer embargo due to late account submissions. But the club is optimistic it won’t interfere with their transfer window aspirations. Fingers crossed!
The visitors made a lively start after the break, with some close chances but ultimately, no further goals. A gutsy performance and a hard-earned point keep Cardiff City on 52 points, maintaining a four-point lead over second-placed Lincoln City.
