🏉 Dragons’ standout Jac Lloyd is turning heads and earning accolades! The younger brother of Wales star Ioan Lloyd, Jac is making waves across the rugby scene. After shining at Newport RFC and claiming the Player of the Year award in Super Rygbi Cymru, he’s now officially a Dragon.
Former Wales star Alex Cuthbert and current international Dillon Lewis were full of praise for Lloyd on the Sportin Wales podcast. Lewis remarked, “Thank God he’s not playing for Ulster this weekend – he’s been absolutely carving up out there!” showcasing just how impactful Lloyd has become on the pitch.
A product of the Bristol Bears academy, Lloyd has developed a reputation as a versatile talent, playing both fly-half and inside centre with skill. His extraordinary performances are being recognised, not least for his fearlessness despite being “the smallest man on the pitch.”
Bears coach Pat Lam once hailed young Lloyd’s potential, saying he fits perfectly into the club’s vision for developing homegrown talent. With an incredible work ethic and a passion for the game, who knows how far this promising player will go?
Though Newport fell short to Swansea in a thrilling match, Lloyd’s nearly flawless conversions kept the tension high. Reflecting on his dream season, Jac shared, “It felt like it was meant to be.” His journey continues with Dragons, and we can’t wait to see what he achieves next.
