Get ready to grab your umbrellas, folks, because this Sunday in Wales is set to be a washout! According to the latest Met Office weather maps, rain is going to dominate the day from dawn till dusk. Starting with some hail in the early morning, the rain is expected to hit around 6am and won’t let up until about 8pm.

While we’ve just weathered a havoc-wreaking week with snow and ice thanks to Storm Goretti, Sunday looks set to continue the trend, with possible icy stretches forming in certain areas. Make sure you’re prepared, as the afternoon will see the rain replace any remaining hill snow, with temperatures peaking at a chilly 8°C.

Planning to be out and about? Better check our weather images to know where the heaviest rainfall will be. It all kicks off with hail early in the morning, and by 6am, rain will sweep across most areas. By midday, there’ll hardly be a dry spot on the map, and the showers are expected to stick around through the afternoon, intensifying by 4pm. As we move into the evening, the rain will make its way northwards by 6pm, and shift eastwards by 8pm.

While the downpour might finally ease up by 10pm, it’s definitely a day to stay snug indoors if you can. Or, if you’re heading out, make sure you’re well-equipped for wet conditions. Sunday might not be the best day for outdoor plans, but it’s the perfect excuse to catch up on some indoor activities. Stay dry and cosy, Wales! 🌧️🌂
