Sympathy for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, appears to be dwindling within the Royal Family. Since being stripped of his royal titles, Andrew has been living at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham estate, funded privately by King Charles. This comes after leaving his former residence at the Royal Lodge in Windsor amid growing concerns over his ties with Jeffrey Epstein and subsequent allegations he’s firmly denied.

Andrew now finds himself in an uncomfortable position, reportedly facing isolation and little sympathy from family members like King Charles and Prince William. However, his siblings, Prince Edward and Princess Anne, have shown a supportive presence. Edward even shared dinner with Andrew at Wood Farm, highlighting a bond that persists despite the family’s formal stance.

Royal experts have suggested Andrew’s situation is strained, with some urging him to find employment rather than rely on the King’s financial support. There’s been talk in the media about how Charles and William are focused on protecting the monarchy’s image, while Anne and Edward are slightly more relaxed in maintaining personal ties with their brother.
Calls have emerged to strip Andrew of the Freedom of the City of London — a title inherited from his late father. However, this is proving complicated as the City of London Corporation has stated that the honour is difficult to revoke.
With public tours at Sandringham opening up for the summer, it’s worth keeping an eye out for the former royal. His ongoing presence at the estate stirs mixed feelings among the public and media, and it seems sympathy might truly have run out for Andrew within the royal fold.
