🌞☀️ Wales had a taste of summer in March! As the temperatures soared over the weekend, locals and visitors alike flocked to the beautiful beaches across the country to soak up the unexpected warmth. Porthcawl was buzzing with sunbathers enjoying the sunshine until dusk. Beachgoers swapped their winter wear for shorts and sunglasses, enjoying seaside strolls, ice creams, and family picnics.

Bala took the hot spot title with a toasty 16°C, while places like Cardiff, Swansea, and Wrexham weren’t far behind, hitting the 14-15°C mark. It was definitely a shorts day! Even the sea didn’t deter those brave enough for a dip.

But a heads-up, rain clouds are expected to roll back in soon. Sunday might see a dip in the mercury with some mist and drizzle expected, but fingers crossed for a bright Monday to start the week on the right foot! The rest of the week looks a bit sketchy with wind and showers making an appearance, so we might not see such an incredible beach day for a while.
Yet, yesterday was one to remember—a perfect day for some seaside nostalgia, sandy toes, and, of course, the obligatory chippy run. Here’s hoping for more sunny surprises soon! 🌊🏖️🍦
