Imagine waking up from a coma to some seriously unexpected news! That’s exactly what happened to Laura Taggart from North Belfast. While celebrating her 18th birthday, Laura was spiked, leading to seizures and a cardiac arrest. Her heart stopped for 16 minutes before she was stabilised and placed in a coma. 😮

One week later, she opened her eyes to find out not only had she narrowly survived, but she was also pregnant! The journey that followed was anything but easy. At 25 weeks, her waters broke and doctors doubted the baby’s survival. Yet, nine weeks later, her little fighter Lucia arrived at 34 weeks via an emergency C-section, weighing just 4lbs 11oz.
