🍽️ Surprised by Tesco Cafe: A Hidden Gem! 🌟
When you think of a supermarket cafe, maybe you picture plastic chairs and boring decor, right? Well, think again! On a recent family outing, I discovered that Tesco has seriously upped its game, and I was pleasantly surprised! 🤩
Picture this: plush armchairs, warm lighting, and a menu that goes beyond your typical fry-up. Tesco’s makeover has transformed it into something resembling an upmarket coffee shop. My partner, our little one, and I decided to see what all the fuss was about.
Starting with breakfast, we were spoiled for choice. Our daughter enjoyed pancakes, yoghurt, and fruit for just £3.50 — cheaper than a pack of nappies! I went for avocado on sourdough, topped with feta and sun-dried tomatoes, while my partner tried the Turkish Eggs with lemon yoghurt and spices. All this, plus two coffees, came to just over £25! 😲
Though there was a short wait for the food, it gave us the perfect excuse to relax and people-watch. Tesco’s cafe has a unique view overlooking the bustling store. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy some downtime and a good brew. ☕
And the coffee? Tasteful and served piping hot in lovely blue ceramic mugs — so much better than your bog-standard white cup. ☕
The food was tasty, with poached eggs perfectly runny and fresh avocado adding flavour. Our little one was happy as could be, polishing off every bite of her generous portion.
Fancy dining at Tesco might sound odd, but with their revamped decor and menu options, it’s well worth a try! Affordable, delicious, and a fab way to spend a few hours without denting the wallet. 🙌
