🎉 Guess who’s now a knight in shining… erm, football boots? It’s none other than Sir David Beckham! ⚽️👑
Becks was knighted last month at Windsor Castle, and everyone’s thrilled, including sports presenter Alex Aljoe. She had a fun encounter with him at the Club World Cup in the US. While catching up, she cheekily asked if Beckham remembered their previous chat during his Real Madrid days. Beckham nodded, but Alex and the crew with her weren’t entirely buying it! 😂
On a recent podcast, Alex shared this moment with football legends Micah Richards, Gary Lineker, and Alan Shearer, and it had them all in stitches! Richards joked, “He was definitely lying,” with Lineker chiming in, “Knights don’t lie!” 🤥⚔️
As for Beckham, he described his knighthood as a “truly humbling and emotional moment.” Speaking about his roots, he expressed how growing up in East London with patriotic parents made the honour incredibly special. He was joined by wife Victoria and his parents during the knighting. Victoria even designed his suit, earning a nod from King Charles, who admired the tailored elegance.
What a journey for the lad from East London! 🌍✨ Whether or not Beckham remembered Alex, it’s clear everyone loves a good Beckham story! Would you take his word for it? Let us know! 😄👇 #DavidBeckham #KnightBeckham #FootballLegend #RoyalHonour
