Namjo’s horrific crimes happened in Cardiff, involving multiple sexual assaults, including a shocking incident in woodland. His actions transformed a bubbly, confident girl into someone haunted by fear and night terrors. She no longer feels safe around many males and even asked her mum to remove the TV from her room, fearing Namjo was watching her through the screen.

The judge, recognising the serious psychological harm caused, sentenced Namjo to 16 years, declaring him an offender of particular concern. He will serve 15 years in custody and an additional year on an extended licence. Despite his sordid past, which includes previous convictions, this was his first sexual offence. He will remain a registered sex offender for life.
