🚨 **Severn Bridge Drama Unfolds!** 🚨
Last night, the Severn Bridge was closed in both directions due to a serious police incident. ⚠️ Motorists were advised to take the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge instead.
Authorities responded swiftly to calls about a person in distress on the bridge just before 8pm. With Avon and Somerset Police, Gwent Police, and other emergency services on the scene, the situation was safely managed and resolved by 10:30pm. 🙌
The bridge was reopened by 11pm, restoring order for travelers. A man was arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance and a racially-aggravated public order offence. He’s now in hospital as a precaution.
