**Shocking Murder Trial: Claim of No Violent Intent**

A murder trial is currently underway involving the tragic death of 40-year-old Joanne Penney in Talbot Green. Joshua Gordon, 27, alongside several others, is accused of her murder. Joanne was shot at close range when she opened her door in March, but Gordon insists he never intended violence that day.
On trial at Cardiff Crown Court, Gordon maintains that he didn’t know anyone had a weapon. He outright denies awareness of the presence of any gun, claiming he wasn’t planning to harm anyone. Interestingly, another defendant, Marcus Huntley, has already pleaded guilty to murder, after his DNA was linked to the weapon used.

The case becomes more complex with Gordon’s connection to drug activities. He admitted to dealing drugs, which is how he knew some of the co-defendants. He told the court how he’d pay Tony Porter, another suspect, to transport drugs to various locations including Leicester and Coventry.
The trial continues, digging deeper into the connection between Gordon and the other accused. As the days unfold, the courtroom has already been shown crucial CCTV footage and heard conflicting stories about the dreadful day in Talbot Green.
