Swansea City had a tough day at the office as they suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat against Ipswich Town at Portman Road. Anis Mehmeti, Ivan Azon, and George Hirst netted for Ipswich, who looked strong throughout the match. Swansea was struggling to find their footing and too many players were missing in action.

Lawrence Vigouroux couldn’t be blamed for the goals and did make some important saves, earning him a solid 6/10. Ethan Galbraith and Ben Cabango both picked up 5s, showing some decent plays but leaving gaps in defence. Josh Tymon had a particularly challenging day, with a critical error leading to Ipswich’s third goal, dropping his rating to a 4.

In the midfield, Marko Stamenic failed to impress on his return, while Malick Yalcouye, despite some promising runs, couldn’t quite hold the ball, both ending the game with 5s. Gustavo Nunes started bright but fizzled out, also scoring a 5. Despite being the standout performer, Melker Widell only managed a 6, but that’s largely due to his hard work and potential missed penalty.
Eom Jisung and Liam Cullen both scored 5s, the former struggling against Ipswich’s tough defence. Off the bench, Ronald, Vipotnik, Franco, Walta, and Ward couldn’t change the game’s course, showing very little impact.
Swansea fans will hope for a stronger performance next time as the team looks to bounce back from this disappointing loss. Until then, let’s keep supporting our Swans and hope for a turnaround! 🦢⚽️ #SwanseaCity #Football #Championship
