Swansea has just unveiled its latest gem—Y Storfa! Located on Oxford Street in the old BHS building, this brand-new library and public service hub is set to become a cornerstone of the community. You’ll find Swansea’s Central Library here, along with the council’s Housing Options and Housing Support services and the West Glamorgan Archive Service. It’s not just a library—it’s a hub for Careers Wales, Citizens Advice, and even Swansea University’s South Wales Miners’ Library. 🏫📚

The opening of Y Storfa also means new footfall prospects for the city centre and shows Swansea’s commitment to redefining how residents access important services. If you’ve been visiting the Civic Centre for council services, take note—many have moved to this new location. However, for now, the registration offices and bereavement services remain at the Civic Centre.

Council Leader Rob Stewart couldn’t be more proud. He stated, “Y Storfa is a fantastic city centre space for the people of Swansea to access the services they use daily. It’s part of making our city centre an even better place to visit.”

This development is not just about services; it’s about community life, providing a spot where people can gather and thrive. So, why not pop in, explore this marvellous new space, and see what it has to offer?
