🔥 Wales is sizzling! 🔥

Eight spots across Wales are officially under a heatwave, with the Met Office reporting that temperatures have soared to an all-time high for May. Cardiff hit a searing 33°C, setting a new record and breaking the one from the previous day at 32.2°C at Hawarden Airport. The last time we saw May temperatures like these was in 1944 with 30.6°C in Newport!

Weather stations in Capel Curig, Cardiff, Gogerddan, Porthmadog, Scolton Country Park, Swyddffynnon, Trasgoed, and Whitechurch have all declared a heatwave officially. And they might not be alone for long as the warm weather continues.
Crowds are flocking to the beaches and parks to soak up the sun, while others chill indoors or hit local splash pads to keep cool. 🌞
Though the peak of the heatwave has passed, we’re still expecting warm days ahead. Temperatures might touch 29°C, with the chance of a thunderstorm looming as the day unfolds. As we head into the weekend, it’s staying warm until things start to cool down by Sunday.
Stay cool and keep enjoying the sunshine! ☀️ And remember, there’s always more to come. Watch out for more updates!
