🏉 Exciting news from the Scarlets! 🏉
We’re thrilled to announce that Aaron Dundon, a highly-rated New Zealander, is joining our coaching lineup as lead forwards coach for the 2026/27 season. Coming from Leinster Rugby, Dundon brings a wealth of experience and a stellar reputation as one of Ireland’s top forward coaches. He’s known for his meticulous preparation and technical expertise, having worked with some of the strongest rugby systems in the world.
Dundon will collaborate with specialist lineout coach Albert van den Berg and contact area coach Bradley Davies to create a formidable forward pack. Meanwhile, former Wales hooker Emyr Phillips transitions to the Scarlets academy full-time.
Interim director of rugby Nigel Davies and the team are pulling together a robust coaching squad, including the retaining of Dwayne Peel and the recent appointment of St Helens’ Eamon O’Carroll as defence coach.
Dundon is eager to get started and has shared his vision for a cohesive and competitive set-piece that empowers our talented squad to play the dynamic, expansive rugby our fans love. With a strong coaching team and passionate support, Dundon is set to take the Scarlets to new heights.
