🎉 Big news from Machynlleth! 🎉 Gwen, the tiny yet mighty restaurant that’s captured the hearts—and taste buds—of many, is preparing to close its doors in May. Known for its Michelin-listed status and hailed as the best restaurant in Wales for 2025, Gwen offers an intimate dining experience like no other, with just eight seats and a stunning 10-course tasting menu. 🍽️✨

Opened in 2023 by Corrin Harrison, a protégé from the renowned Ynyshir, Gwen was co-owned by Gareth Ward, who brought the magic of Ynyshir’s multiple Michelin stars to a more accessible setting. Each dish at Gwen is a burst of bold flavours and creativity, making it a must-visit culinary gem. 🌟

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Corrin shared, “The time has come for me and the team at Gwen to move on to something new. The past three years have been amazing. Having full creative freedom is something I will always be grateful for. It feels like the right moment to end this chapter on a high.” 🎈
The community of Machynlleth has played a big role in Gwen’s journey, and the team extends their deepest gratitude for all the support over the years. 🏡💖
If you’ve been lucky enough to dine at Gwen, drop a comment and share your favourite memory! And if you haven’t yet—hurry! The last chance to experience this culinary masterpiece will be during the Machynlleth Comedy Festival over the early May bank holiday weekend. 🎭
Here’s to new beginnings, and whatever culinary adventure awaits this incredible team next! 🌍👨🍳👩🍳 #FarewellGwen #CulinaryExcellence #NextChapter
