🏉 Top Welsh Rugby Signings of the Season! 🌟
As the season winds down, the spotlight is on this year’s top signings across Welsh rugby teams. It’s been a mix of hit and miss, but a few standout players have really made their mark. Let’s dive into who made the biggest impact!
🔝 Fletcher Anderson is undeniably the top signing this season! Joining the Scarlets, he’s been phenomenal, playing all 14 matches and topping the charts in tackles and carries. His recent 25 carries against Leinster prove he’s a force to be reckoned with.
💪 Other notable mentions:
– Ryan Smith at Ospreys: Has become a cornerstone of their lineout game thanks to his knack for snaffling opposition ball.
– Robert Hunt at the Dragons: Key to strengthening their scrum, providing great value all season.
– Harry Beddall at the Dragons: The former Wales U20s captain has been relentless, ranking high in league tackle counts.
Some signings, despite their potential, didn’t quite shine due to injuries and other setbacks. Leigh Halfpenny’s return to Cardiff saw limited playtime, while Dillon Lewis and Mackenzie Martin at the Dragons struggled with injuries.
Cardiff had some hits with signings like Taine Basham, who fortified their back-row, and Javan Sebastian who strengthened their scrum efforts. Meanwhile, the Dragons saw moments of brilliance from players like Thomas Young and Tinus de Beer despite an injury-hit campaign for some.
Though the season had its challenges, these signings have shown that even amid uncertainty, there are standout talents who elevate the game. Cheers to the relentless spirit of these athletes! 🙌🏆
